"I knew after just the first week this would be different. It would be different than Weight Watchers. It would be different than TrueStar. It would be different than U Weight Loss. It would be different than Beverly Hills. You can see why my husband was reluctant..... Over the years we’d invested in various weight loss regiments. Most of them worked, but none of them stuck.
So what was different about Proactive? I’ve asked myself the same question for a year now. The Proactive experience has been a fulfilling journey, and weight loss is just one small part of the benefits.

What’s amazing to me is that at 46 years old I get as much out of Emerson’s bootcamp as the 20 year olds and 30 year olds who also dedicate themselves. What’s also amazing is the friends we’ve made over the past year.
There is a bond that forms quickly among the bootcamp members, and it’s infectious. Emerson is the core, but everyone involved inspires each other and motivates each other and celebrates each other’s achievements.
When I first started my weight was 225 pounds.... At 5’4” tall – that’s just too much. One year later I weigh 155 pounds, and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in."

"I was kind of nervous ... but after that first class I was hooked! It was a tough class, but it was tough in a different way. I love the format of the class – what I mean is the ‘HIIT’ type of training you do. It makes the class manageable, really push for a short length of time, then recover.
I definitely feel stronger and more co-ordinated and so proud that I am dragging tires and running hills. Definitely not Jane Fonda type aerobics LOL
On a deeper level, being able to do this with Nicole has been a lot of fun and I think she is proud of me too! I know she can kick my butt in endurance and speed, but I can give her a run for her money on some strength exercises.... a little competition is fun.
Lastly, you know the saying ‘like attracts like’ and that proves the be very true with your followers – a great bunch of people to share this experience with!!

"I was nervous coming to bootcamp for the first time. It was really tough and I thought I was going to die after the first session. I was so out of shape. I had given up on getting back into shape. I was unhappy with how I looked and how my clothes fit.
I did not expect to come as far as I have. If I had not come to Emerson's boot camp, I would still be sitting on the couch eating chocolate after a stressful day at work.
There have been many days when I have come home from work exhausted and have come to boot camp anyway - always leaving feeling de stressed and so much better. I have replaced eating chocolate with working out.
I have lost weight, gained muscle and am starting to love how I feel in my clothes. We have changed our diet and have started eating better as a family. I feel like my husband and I are positive role models for our kids - teaching them healthier habits.
